Lesson Information

Here’s some basic information to know before signing up for classes.

Each class will last about 50 minutes to an hour. Each class will meet for 5 days (Monday – Friday). We WILL have classes unless it’s pouring rain or lightning. If it’s only rain, I will crank the heater up. Many thunderstorms are over in 15 minutes which may put our schedule a little late. If lessons are canceled due to inclement weather, it will be posted on our facebook page. Visit the Facebook page for immediate updates.

The price for one-week class registration is $250. FULL payment is due the Tuesday of the week you’ve signed up for.  We DO NOT accept checks. We’ve had problems in the past with bad checks, and my bank charges me a fee.  We will have an area set up where you can submit payment. If you need to cancel, please send me an email. I will most likely have a waiting list and it’s frustrating when people “just forget.” I understand, but that is why I set alarms on my phone every day.

Also, please do not park on our neighbors’ lawns! We have a very large driveway and front yard, big enough for everyone to find a place to park their vehicle. There is a wooded lot/greenspace before my house, also.

Private lessons open for registration!

Meet Kat

I am a recent graduate of the University of Mississippi and have taught swimming lessons with my mother since I was eight years old. She taught me herself, so it has always felt natural for me to teach by her methods. I have loved teaching kids to swim since I helped my mom teach my little brother and sister when they were two and three years old. I feel that water safety is so important, because every child can learn to swim. Why take the risk when it’s possible for everyone? After all, everyone comes in contact with water at some point, and we have to make sure that children are prepared. In all of the years I have taught with my mother, I haven’t seen a child who couldn’t swim on the fifth day. I am so excited so be back teaching with her this summer!
